Designing & Managing Cloud Infrastructure 

Google's cloud architects plan, set up, and maintain GCP services like Compute Engine, Kubernetes, and Cloud Storage that run a company's cloud operations. They should know a lot about cloud architecture and be able to make cloud solutions that can grow and are safe.

Develop & Coordinate Google Cloud Architecture

The second most important job of Google cloud architects is to make sure that the architecture of the company is coordinated across many departments, from app development to user experience. Changes to the building's structure must be coordinated across the board. 

Develop a Cloud Strategy 

The Google cloud architect's job is to detail all aspects of cloud adoption, including the services that work and those that don't.

To do this, you need to make a plan for moving to the cloud that can coordinate and align the adoption of the cloud across a company and keep operations running.

Managing Cloud Security & Compliance

The Google cloud architect's job is to make sure that the cloud infrastructure and applications are safe and follow the rules. They should be knowledgeable in GCP security best practices, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Compliance. 

Cloud Management & Monitoring

As soon as the initial design is complete, the Google cloud architect's next task is to keep it updated and running smoothly in accordance with the company's goals.

Migrating Data to the Cloud

The Google cloud architect is in charge of planning and carrying out the move of data from systems on-premises to the cloud. A cloud architect should know how to use tools and methods for migration to make sure that the move to the cloud goes smoothly.

Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams

Cloud architects work closely with developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to make sure that cloud solutions are delivered successfully. They should be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Troubleshooting & Resolving Issues

Architects are in charge of finding and fixing problems with cloud infrastructure and applications. Google cloud architects should know a lot about GCP services and be able to find and fix problems quickly and easily.

Programming languages: 

Cloud architects need to know at least a little bit about a scripting or programming language. In recent years, cloud computing has become increasingly popular with the rise of languages like Perl, Python, Ruby, .NET, and Java 

Networking: 

TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and IT addresses are a few examples of networking technologies. It's imperative to be familiar with these ideas before beginning a career as a cloud architect.

Data storage: 

A cloud architect must know the advantages and disadvantages of using data centers. For instance, architects need to know which storage options to use in the Google Cloud Platform because many are available. 

Security: 

Keeping data safe in the cloud is a top priority. That's why cloud architects must grasp fundamental security principles. Understanding the purpose and operation of firewalls is a necessary skill for this position.

Leadership: 

Being able to lead a team effectively is a crucial skill for any cloud architect. A Google cloud architect may want to take stock of the current state of things before diving headfirst into a client project.

To do a thorough evaluation of the customer's infrastructure, you may need a large cloud engineering team. They effectively lead that engineering team.

Communication: 

Google Cloud architects must understand client business needs and communicate well. After that, they can update not only management but also their team of technical experts.

Sharing information requires oral and written communication. As a cloud architect, you may need to speak, present, email, or meet with others to understand their ideas.
